Welcome to my web site where you will learn about me and my commitment to helping children, adolescents, and families. I am both a licensed clinical psychologist and licensed school psychologist. I specialize in child, adolescent, and family issues. I work closely with families, children, and adolescents, in both private practice and school settings. My private practice office location is in Littleton, Colorado.
Services that I provide include the following: assessment and intervention for learning and behavioral difficulties among children and adolescents, gifted and talented evaluations, psychotherapy including play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, parent coaching and consultation, educational consultation, classroom observations, Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan consultation, divorce or post-divorce counseling, grief counseling, intervention for adjustment difficulties and school refusal, crisis management, and trauma intervention. I also provide educational group counseling pertaining to issues of bullying, anxiety, conflict resolution, girl aggression, peer relationships, and study skills. I can provide updates to your child's pediatrician, physician, psychiatrist, or teacher upon your request.
I am trained in the Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) approach developed by Drs. Ross Greene and Stuart Ablon. Collaborative Problem Solving is a cognitive behavioral skill based approach that treats youth with challenging behaviors such as anger, pouting, or withdrawal while simultaneously providing skills in cognitive flexibility and problem solving. For more information about CPS please refer to www.thinkkids.org, www.ccps.info, and http://www.lostatschool.org.
